The KS Mailbox is such a wonderful thing !!! ... I can't wait to FIND it ... LOL ... I went for a walk a couple weeks ago on Wrightsville Beach ... I thought the mailbox was there ... Guess not ... LOL ... ...
... I wonder how many books could be made if ALL the pages ever filled were put together (?) ... Dozens, I'm sure ... I would love to read the past pages & compare them with today's ... That would be amazing ... I bet it would really show something about how times have changed ... I wish I could think of something wonderful like this to share with the world ...
... ... Well, I have rattled on long enough ... I can't wait to leave an actual letter INSIDE the MAILBOX ...
xoxo ~Amanda~

I love the idea of this mailbox. I had the pleasure of making a visit there last year and also was able to be one of the stewards and mail off some of the loose papers and books to the person who runs the mailbox. I think it would be neat to put the stories in a book sometime.

I went there this past summer. I can't wait to go back next year. I really like having this website to be able to share my thoughts about the beach and read what others have to share. It's not the same as being there but puts in that frame of mind. Thanks.

With every visit I make to the beach I make it a point to take a walk to the mailbox to sit and meditate on the beauty that is the beach and how fortunate I am to be able to spend time there. Whether the sun is shining or not it is always magnificent to sit surrounded by the glory that is God's creation!

I walked to the mailbox yesterday morning and look at the wonderful surprise I found waiting there! Since this is festival season and time to sell books, it’s been weeks since I’ve had the opportunity to get down there to check things out. Some kind and industrious hearts have been very busy. My spirits are still soaring. It was high tide so more of a slog than usual getting down there, but well worth it! Thank you Kindred Spirit’s Kindred Spirit! As a bonus, on the way back I met Linda from Cherry Grove, the lady Laura Lewis and I met on the way down on the day of the rescue mission, so I had company on the way back! How cool is that? –Jack DeGroot

We went on a walk to the mailbox this morning, it was over a mile from the ramp near the street. The messages were personally moving for us to read. The joyful expressions of God's beauty. Loss of a loved one, missing those who have already gone before them. People's prayers for those who are dealing with deaths of those close to them. Some are just fun, like the simple words from a child: "I love the beach. Don't you?"

I went for a walk to the mailbox this morning. I saw the sunrise on the way. Then I left a note in one of the notebooks. It is a beautiful place where you can feel the great love of God for us. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, kindred spirit.
